I see you Mamma…..
…….. juggling life and balancing everyone’s needs but your own. You take care of everyone around you, from your little angels to your partner, pets and sometimes even friends kids.
So, why do you feel you can’t take time for yourself to do the things that you enjoy? The self care joys in life that remind you that you are more than just a Mum?
So, here’s what I really want you to know!!!
Stop thinking of self care as a “Me First” thing, and start thinking of it as a “Me TOO!!!” thing. Now doesn’t self care make so much more sense when you think of it this way?!?!
Meeting your own needs for relaxation, connection and community is just as important as those you look after. After all, you wouldn’t let your loved ones neglect their own needs. So, where along the way has it become so normal for us Mum’s to do it to ourselves? (I am so guilty of this too!)
But this needs to stop now because it is NOT NORMAL for us Mums to put our basic needs to the bottom of our priority list. And you deserve so much more than just your basic needs being met Mamma, so so much more!
Making time to restore your own energy is nothing to feel guilty about. It is incredibly important.
It’s time to start understanding that you prioritising your self care is an act of Love!
AN ACT OF LOVE, FROM YOU TO YOUR LOVED ONES!
Because investing in yourself, is investing in your family. Being the best version of yourself, positively benefits everyone around you, not just yourself.
My self care can look like reading a book in peace, going for a run, a glass of wine. But mostly I turn to my yoga practice for the stress relief and calm that I really love.
